Everyone wants abundance. So if you don’t have it, why not?
Perhaps you think you have to work even harder to get what you want.
There’s so much more to it than that and you can actually start experiencing abundance right now!
It’s time to learn how to change your attitude towards money and manifest more of it into your life.
Is it Hard Work?
We, as humans, have been conditioned to believe we’ve got to work hard to get where we want to be. Then we’re told if it hasn’t happened, to work even harder. If at first you don’t succeed, try try again, right?
However, what if you are working really hard and giving your all at the wrong strategy?
In that case you may miss other options that present themselves. They might be right there in your current surroundings or they might show up from unexpected sources. Either way, a better strategy can lead to more abundance.
Unsuccessful people actually work harder at being unsuccessful than those who are successful. Those that are struggling to make ends meet often think about money more than those who are financially successful. How to pay their rent, what if they overdraw their account, strictly budgeting their shopping to make the food last. So much time, focus, and energy goes to money.
It’s better to work smarter, not harder.
Human Programming
We’re programmed to believe in lack, so the individual who is worried about their debt or bills is likely to have a negative association with money. They are focusing on what they don’t have and using the words and thoughts that relate to lack. But as it’s said, that which you focus on expands, so even if you are focusing on reducing your debt, you are still focusing on “debt.” What results? More bills, more debt!
We have been told things like, “Money is dirty” and “Money doesn’t grow on trees!” There’s even “Wealthy people are greedy.” We see it everywhere, even in kid’s movies!
So what if we reprogram ourselves to focus on prosperity and abundance? How much could that change things?
Story Time
It’s common to build stories in our head, including money stories.
I was on a coaching call with a client who wanted to work on her money stories and I mentioned one of my favorite phrases of all time, “Money flows freely and easily from sources known and unknown, expected and unexpected.”
She said that money has never come to her easily. “Never, ever?” I asked.
Then she proceeded to tell me about this one time, just a few weeks prior, how her Grandfather decided to give her $5,000.
She didn’t ask for it and it wasn’t a loan. He just gave it to her as a surprise. The card and the check just showed up in her mailbox one day.
Her whole demeanor shifted as she thought about it. How much easier could it possibly be? It came completely unexpected. All she had to do was open the mail and cash the check!
Take a look at what you are telling yourself about what happens with money stories in your own life.. She had been completely ignoring the abundance up until that moment she made the shift.
Rather than the mindset of lack, or thinking that type of abundance never happens for you, how about switching your mindset to trusting that money flows easily?
Abundance is our Birthright
Like many of us, Rich grew up being taught that hard work is the recipe for success, but later learned that hard work may be at the detriment of finding a better way.
As he’s often looking forward to how our company can grow and offer new things, sometimes it requires “not working” for awhile and just letting himself sit and think. Sometimes I tease him about it, but I completely understand.
Oftentimes that’s when the answers will come. That’s when we will find ways to change up our routine and shift gears, which actually also helps us set the intention on what we want to accomplish.
We hear it all the time, and it’s also in the Bible. Ask and you shall receive, seek and you will find, knock and the door will open. I kept looking for the catch. What were the conditions? But there weren’t any. It wasn’t about “deserve” at all.
It requires staying abundance focused rather than lack focused. When coming from a perspective of abundance, even more abundance will start showing up.
Abundance isn’t Always about Money
It’s great finding unexpected financial abundance like money on the ground, an unexpected check, a great sale on something you had to buy. Rather than thinking it’s too good to be true, just say Thank You!
Recognize and acknowledge it. It’s all around you! We can find abundance in resources, health, relationships, or family time. The list goes on. See what else you notice.
Financial abundance can of course unlock so much for people and helps with your limiting beliefs, so it’s a great tool to help find and fulfill your callings, but abundance can come in all shapes and forms.
Make it a point to stay abundance focused. Set the intention and track the abundance in a little notebook every time you recognize it.
Once you see the list filling up, you’ll be attracting even more abundance in all areas of your life!
